So, again the shy girl got a song, this one I actually played for her. Her comment: "You sound really sincere." Arrrrrgh, dummy, it was about you. She's gone, but I still sing the song from time to time. I like the poetry of it and its simplicity.

My favorite from this series, "Waiting" has seen numerous incarnations. I wrote it during a free time in 1985 on a deck under redwood trees in Bonny Doon, north of Santa Cruz. One of the first songs where I really got to sing.
